Ingredients
  

  • 1 Pork belly cut into 30 g medium chunks
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • salt pepper at taste
  • 2 tbsp ground garlic minced
  • water onion blended yellow pepper
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • ¾ cup minced peppermint
  • cup minced parsley
  • 1 bottle of beer
  • cup peeled turnip and chopped into small cubes
  • cup sweet potato, peeled and diced
  • cup sweet peeled beans
  • cup peas
  • cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 yellow pepper, cut into strips
  • 3 cup long rice
  • 1 cup of chopped cabbage

Instructions
 

  • At first we season 1 pork belly cut into 30 g medium pieces with salt and pepper, then brown them in a pot and add water, letting it cook for about 15 more minutes, removing them and reserving their broth.
  • Then we will make a dressing in the same pot with minced garlic, chopped onion, liquefied yellow pepper, 1 tablespoon of toothpick, 1 cup of chopped cilantro, 1 cup of chopped parsley and 1 cup of minced peppermint.
  • Now we add 1 bottle of beer and 2 and a half cups of the broth saved from cooking.
  • Now add 1/2 cup of peeled turnip and chopped into small cubes, 1/2 cup of peeled and chopped sweet potato, 1/2 cup of peeled sweet beans, 1/2 cup of green peas, 1/2 cup of red pepper chopped and 1 yellow pepper cut into strips.
  • Now we return the pork to the pot, letting it boil to taste the salt, pepper and cumin.
  • Finally, we add 2 cups of long rice, letting it cook and dry to also add 1 cup of chopped cabbage that will be cooked with the steam

Notes

A good secret of flavor consist in adding to this recipe a big part of  huachana sausage or 3 raw spanish chorizo crumbles previously browned. That to give all fat and flavor to rice.
